Biography:
Jumped onto the radar by winning the 2006 Imperial Collection Russian Open on the European Tour in only his 3rd professional start making Alejandro the fastest winner in European Tour history beating the previous record held by Sergio Garcia and Greame McDowell.
During his illustrious amateur career Alejandro was a 4 time All American at Arizona State University becoming only the fourth ASU golfer to do so joining Phil Mickleson, Billy Mayfair and Todd Demsey in the process. Alejandro scored 6 collegiate victories whilst at ASU including the 2003 NCAA Championship. Alejandro was twice named PAC-10 player of the year and represented Europe in the Palmer Cup vs US Collegiate players 4 times becoming the record points scorer in the process with a 100% singles record. Prior to attending ASU Alejandro had victories in the 2002 Spanish Amateur Championship and Spanish Junior Championship and was the No.1 player in the 2002 Spanish amateur rankings.
